Division for Acting in Military Cases

This division was established according to the Laws on Taking Over Jurisdiction of Military Courts, Military Prosecutors’ Offices and Military Attorneys’ Offices which regulates the taking over of jurisdiction of these authorities by the authorities of Republic of Serbia.


According to this Law it is prescribed that „jurisdiction of military courts functioning on the territory of the Republic of Serbia is taken over by the courts of general jurisdiction in accordance with the jurisdiction prescribed by the law regulating the substantive jurisdiction of the court and prescribed by this law“. Тhe district courts in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis are competent in first-instance, while the Supreme Court of Serbia is competent in the second instance procedure.
