War Crimes Panel

The War Crimes Panel was established in the Supreme Court of Serbia according to the Law on Organization and Jurisdiction of Government Authorities in the Proceedings for War Crimes.

Panel is competent to rule in the second instance for:

1. criminal offences against humanity and international law prescribed in the Chapter XVI of the Fundamental Criminal Law;
2. serious violations of international humanitarian law committed on the territory of former Yugoslavia from 1 January 1991 stated in the Statute of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.

The President of the Supreme Court of Serbia allocated judges in the War Crimes Panel with their consent for a period of four years.
